Somehow in a year of grief, injury, pain and sorrow, I’ve ended up more grounded than ever. At the start of last year, I was reeling from loss and uncertainty. My friend was gone, and the housing crisis had me feeling lost. Writing goals felt like a joke, I just wanted to survive. But in letting go of expectations, I found freedom.
