The devil is in the details. This was a cool project that I thought would be fun because it was a bastard hip roof. Since I like over complicating things and making them a challenge, I added curves to the exposed rafters tails. It was all fun and games till I got to the hip rafter tail overhangs. Trying out this western (push) saw that a friend gave to me without a handle on it. I drilled a few holes on the opposite end of the saw and made a new handle for it and turned it into a Japanese (pull) saw. Personally, I prefer using pull saws. This one worked pretty good but I feel like the blade could be a little stiffer.
