1408 (2007) 1408 is a 2007 psychological horror film based on Stephen King’s short story of the same name. It stars John Cusack as Mike Enslin, a skeptical author who debunks paranormal phenomena. He checks into room 1408 at the Dolphin Hotel in New York City, despite repeated warnings from hotel manager Gerald Olin (played by Samuel L. Jackson).
