Set up on this day in 1941, the Lvov (L'viv/Lwów) ghetto held members of the third-largest Jewish community in pre-war Poland as well as tens of thousands of Jewish refugees from Nazi-occupied western Poland. The Lvov ghetto, one of the largest Jewish ghettos established by Nazi Germany, was liquidated in 1943. All its inhabitants who survived prior killings were sent to their deaths to the Bełżec and Janowska camps. Today, #WeRemember. | World Jewish Congress
