A super rare duck visiting Charleston! A Harlequin Duck has been resting and foraging near Melton Demetre Park on James Island. This amazing duck is typically found much further north and breeds in Greenland, Canada, Alaska and parts of the Northwest US near fast flowing rivers and streams. I witnessed these ducks showing off their unparalleled aquatic skills in the Yellowstone River, diving & swimming through incredible fast moving rapids.
