In 2024, a Roman bathhouse was discovered at the Birdoswald Roman Fort at Hadrian's Wall. 🛁 After four seasons of excavation at Birdoswald, significant discoveries have been made. Here, we look into one of the dig sites, where we've found incredible remains of the bathhouse furnace room. After being added to the Heritage at Risk Register 13 years ago, Saltdean Lido in Brighton has undergone a beautiful restoration. 🏊 This lido is an example of ‘streamline moderne’ architecture and was inspired by contemporary ocean liner and aircraft design.
