생물학 | 의학 | 건강 모음집 on Instagram: "신생아의 다지증(polydactyly) 은 손가락이나 발가락이 정상 개수보다 더 많은 상태를 의미한다. 비교적 흔한 선천성 기형으로, 한쪽 손이나 발 또는 양쪽 모두에서 나타날 수 있다. 추가된 손가락이나 발가락은 보통 다른 구조보다 작거나 덜 발달한 형태로 존재한다. 원인 다지증은 주로 유전적 요인에 의해 발생하며, 가족력이 있는 경우가 많다. 그러나 가족력이 없어도 태아의 손발이 형성되는 과정에서 발생한 발달 이상으로 인해 산발적으로 나타날 수 있다. ■ 색이 검붉게 변한 이유 의사들이 이 부착 손가락에 작은 고무 밴드나 실을 묶어서 혈류를 차단하면, 몇 일~일주일 사이에 자연스럽게 말라서 떨어지는 방식(결찰법) 을 사용합니다. 이 형태는 줄기처럼 달린 추가 손가락이 혈관·신경이 거의 없는 상태로 붙어 있는 경우로, 이를 ‘유경성(polydactyly with a stalk)’ 이라고 부릅니다."
