
MCU failure replacement DIY? (2018 LR-RWD HW3.0)
Oct 31, 2024 · It seems like MCU failure as quick search from this forum pointed towards that. The replacement from Tesla service center is asking $2900 estimate. Can't afford that at this moment. Searching on Ebay shown some listings around $400. Is there any DIY/instruction/guide available how to swap it?

Even if I had to pay the $500 as originally quoted, I would; rather than a new MCU2. Can Tesla guarantee a good MCU2? Is this really a permanent fix? I guess not.
