"Your company’s failure to resolve or even meaningfully address this prolonged strike is unacceptable," Gov. Maura Healey wrote in a letter to Republic Services President and CEO Jon Vander Ark.

Teamsters members voted Sunday to continue their five-week strike and contract standoff with Republic Services, which has disrupted trash and recycling services across more than a dozen Massachusetts communities.

The labor dispute has gone to federal mediation, court, and even police, but it seems no closer to getting resolved. The last time the two sides met to negotiate was July 18.
