Nine disaster-trained volunteers from the American Red Cross of North Carolina are heading to California to support disaster relief operations where dangerous wildfires continue to burn. The wildfires are causing devastating countless houses and property and causing widespread area evacuations.

The North Carolina chapter of the American Red Cross has deployed several volunteers to help those impacted by the wildfires.
