The Twins began Tuesday with “TBD” listed as their starting pitcher for the final two games of their series with the Red Sox, a team they are still theoretically pursuing on the fringes of the wild card race.

The Twins sent starting pitcher Chris Paddack to the Detroit Tigers on Monday afternoon, the first of what could be multiple moves ahead of Thursday’s 5 p.m. trade deadline as the Twins have fallen behind much of the American League in their quest for a Wild Card berth.

In what appears to be the first move of a Twins selloff, two pitchers have been traded to the Tigers for a 19-year-old prospect.
