Thousands gathered Saturday morning in cities around Central Florida and the state as part of what’s being called a “nationwide day of defiance” against the man in the Oval Office they say

No Kings protests were held Saturday in nearly 2,000 places across the U.S. The protests were planned on the same day as the military parade in D.C.

The movement marked the biggest single-day of anti-Trump protest of his second administration, per organizers.

Protests large and small were set for Saturday throughout the Bay Area, from banner-hangings on overpasses, to major gatherings in San Jose’s St. James Park, and in Oakland’s Wilma

Organizers of the protests said that all of the planned events in the state were canceled after a recommendation from Gov. Tim Walz.

COLONIE — Over 100 residents of the independent living community Shaker Pointe were protesting Saturday, inspired by the “No Kings” demonstrations happening around the region and across the country. The protests are in response to the policies of President Donald J. Trump's administration.

Part of a national day of mobilization, the protests were scheduled the same day as President Trump's military parade in Washington, D.C.

The Houston demonstration is one of several planned in the region throughout the day and is expected to draw thousands of protesters.
