Though we already have a fairly good idea of what Google plans to announce on Aug. 20, there are a few things I want on the agenda, starting with a smartphone that can take a beating.

Sky is offering 10GB data for £1 a month for the first three months with Google Pixel 9 plans - starting at £17 a month with a £12 upfront cost. That means for the first three months it will cost £18 a month with 10GB of data, and shoppers can enjoy a shiny new Pixel device.

Google could've solved this trust issue by being more transparent instead of trying to sweep it all under the rug.

There's also a button there to sign up for emails to receive an "exclusive offer" for new subscribers, offering a single-use discount for an eligible device from August 20 - September 4 when buying the phone via the Google Store.
