A recent article by the MLB Trade Rumors explored possible teams that could acquire the veteran starting pitcher and potential returns the Seattle Mariners could get for the three-time All-Star.

The Mariners are open to trading Luis Castillo, but they haven't received the sort of offers they were hoping to get.

Interest in Castillo increased significantly after the New York Yankees signed free-agent lefty Max Fried to an eight-year, $218 million contract, a Mariners source said. Castillo, 32, is owed less than one third that amount — $68.25 million over the next three years.
