Mississippi State football's promising start to the season is in danger of being wiped out if it sustains another blowout loss in Egg Bowl.

No. 6 Ole Miss is headed to Starkville to face Mississippi State in one of the most drama-filled rivalry weeks for both teams.

Lane Kiffin and Co. will hit the road to Starkville on Friday for the Egg Bowl, square off against the Bulldogs.

The 2025 college football season enters its final week of the regular season and that means rivalries are renewed. While some traditional contests like the Apple Cup and Bedlam won't be featured thanks to conference realignment,

Rivalry Week will pack extra intrigue in 2025. Games such as Texas-Texas A&M and Ohio State-Michigan should provide plenty of entertainment. That said, all eyes will be on Lane Kiffin, who might be coaching his final game at Ole Miss.

One look at this game from anyone outside the Magnolia State, and its ho-hum this looks like a lopsided match-up between a 10-win team and a five win team but maybe home field advantage makes it a close one.
