DJI reveals likely launch date for Air 3S drone –and it could be more exciting than we thought
DJI has announced a new October launch event – and recent leaks point to it being a promising new, mid-range Air 3S.
DJI Air 3S leak reveals new controller that lets this drone follow you around
The latest leak comes to us courtesy of JasperEllens on X (spotted by our friends at Tech Radar) who revealed a new device called the DJI RC Track controller. The controller will apparently let the Air 3S follow you without using a standard drone controller.
The latest Air 3S image leaks give us an in-depth look at DJI’s next drone
The leaks reveal that the Fly More Combo bundles will include a set of clip-on ND Filters (ND8, ND32, and ND128) for the Air 3S. This will give owners more control over exposure settings, allow for long exposure shots, and smooth video in harsh lighting conditions.

Previous leaks have suggested that the drone will be a relatively modest upgrade on the DJI Air 3, with the main boost being the inclusion of a larger 1-inch sensor on its main camera (joined by the same 1/1.3-inch sensor as before for its telephoto camera).

The DJI Air 3S Could be Announced in October
Obviously, the key takeaway here is the DJI Air 3S release date, or at least the announcement, falling on the 15th of October 2024 at 9pm CST (9am EST, 2pm BST). With the DJI Neo, we saw that the drone was available to purchase directly after the reveal, so we can potentially expect similar from the Air 3S.
