In his visit to a school in Wales, Sheeran, accompanied by his songwriting partner Amy Wadge, spoke to students about the value of pursuing a career in music.

Sheeran has a special connection with Wales: as a teenager, he visited Wadge in the Welsh capital, Cardiff, to work on his songs, an experience he described as a “key stage” of his life.

Wadge and Sheeran have been friends for almost two decades, and after returning home from New York, she told BBC Radio Wales that the pair had been working on new music while going through the trial.
