Underwood, who turns 18 later this month, has not officially been named the starting quarterback yet. But, with graduate transfer Mikey Keene having dealt with an upper body injury this offseason, Underwood has the inside track to QB1 for Week 1.

Sherrone Moore said Michigan's quarterback competition remains open as coaches plan to create "chaos" to test how the five-star freshman handles adversity.

Michigan football begins fall camp for the 2025 season on Wednesday. There are starting jobs to be won, including at QB with freshman Bryce Underwood.
