Oakmont got the best of many of the world's best players this week, with Bryson DeChambeau, Phil Mickelson and Dustin Johnson among the notables to miss the cut.

The defending U.S. Open champion won’t be around for the weekend. Bryson DeChambeau, the winner last year at Pinehurst who also had top-five finishes at this year’s Masters and PGA Championship, missed the cut Friday at Oakmont after a second-round 7-over 77,

Bryson DeChambeau missed the cut at the U.S. Open, became the first defending champion to miss the weekend at the national championship since Gary Woodland in 2020.
