A flight instructor was giving a lesson when heard the radio call the moment before a midair collision that killed two at an airport near Tucson.

Two planes collided midair Wednesday at the Marana Regional Airport near Tucson, Arizona, leaving two passengers dead, the Federal Aviation Administration said.

Two people are dead after two small planes collided midair in Arizona, authorities said. The National Transportation Safety Board announced that it's investigating a Wednesday, Feb. 19, midair collision “between Cessna 172S and Lancair 360 MK II near Marana.”
