They were dinged in that game by an illness suffered by star guard Luka Doncic, who was not himself on the night. Doncic, battling a stomach virus, had 17 points on 6-for-16 shooting, with eight assists on the night. But the Lakers ran out of gas down the stretch, giving up a 13-1 run to close the game and losing, 116-104.
