Iowa Hawkeyes football made a trip down to Nashville Monday for their second ever appearance in the TransPerfect Music City Bowl to face Missouri. The last time the Tigers and Hawkeyes battled it out was in the 2010 insight bowl where Iowa took the victory 27-24.

Iowa football (8-5, 6-3 Big Ten) season came to a disappointing end in Nashville, Tenn., on Monday as the Hawkeyes dropped a 27-24 nail-biter in the TransPerfect Music City Bowl vs. Missouri (10-3, 5-3 SEC).

Iowa kicker Drew Stevens’ field goal with about five minutes left in the third quarter gave the Hawkeyes its first two-possession lead of Monday's Music City Bowl. Those three points, though, were Iowa’s only scoring play of the second half. Meanwhile, Missouri piled on 13 unanswered points as the Hawkeyes wilted.
