More than half of all Koreans said the Constitutional Court should uphold the impeachment of President Yoon Suk Yeol to remove him from office for his short-lived martial law declaration, a survey showed Monday.

South Korean President Yoon Suk-yeol skipped the ninth hearing of his impeachment trial on Tuesday as his legal team clashed with lawyers representing the National Assembly over evidence examination. Yoon arrived at the Constitutional Court but left for the Seoul Detention Center before proceedings began, Yonhap News Agency reported.
