ABC7 has learned the murder of former NFL player Kevin Johnson may be connected to three separate murders of homeless people in the Willowbrook area.

In what appeared to be a surprise to defense attorneys, prosecutors asked the judge to order Adam Beckerink to submit his DNA to Illinois State Police under a rarely invoked 2011 Illinois law.

"She did not leave on her own, we know that," police said on Monday.
