The Phoenix Suns are reportedly ready and willing to send their superstar wing to Minnesota, but there's a slight problem.

The Minnesota Timberwolves may have the best trade package for Suns star Kevin Durant in Rudy Gobert, Rob Dillingham and Donte DiVincenzo.

All along, we've heard that three teams were at the top of Kevin Durant's list: the San Antonio Spurs, Houston Rockets and Miami Heat. All three made varying degrees of sense. There was not, at least initially, any separation within that group. They were listed together.

Shams Charania of ESPN reported on Monday that Kevin Durant has “no desire” to be traded to the Timberwolves, but the Suns and Wolves are still hoping he’ll warm to the idea, league sources tell Sam Amick and Jon Krawczynski of The Athletic.

Durant has reportedly narrowed down his preferred teams to the Miami Heat, San Antonio Spurs and the Houston Rockets. As a former Texas Longhorn, the Lone Star State connection can't be overlooked. Nonetheless, the 15-time All-Star is notably extension-eligible and ostensibly wants to maximize the earnings of what could be a final payday.
