Taylor became a doctor following his 11-year baseball career and was the Blue Jays' team physician for more than 30 years.

Dr. Ron Taylor, a two-time World Series champion with the New York Mets and St. Louis Cardinals who later became the Toronto Blue Jays' team physician, has died. He was 87.

Ron Taylor passed away Monday after a long illness. He won the World Series four times, once pitching for the 1964 St. Louis Cardinals and later for the 1969 NY Mets. then as team physician for the 1992 and 1993 Toronto Blue Jays.
