Crews are working around the clock but there are still more than 2.8 million customers without power in the aftermath of Hurricane Milton.

Power outages were reported in Brevard County after Hurricane Milton made its way across Florida. Approximately 50,000 utilities crewmembers are in Florida working to restore power as quickly as possible, Gov. Ron DeSantis said in a press conference Thursday.

While Milton did not trigger the catastrophic surge of seawater feared in Florida, the clean-up operation could take many weeks or months.
