New York Jets defensive coordinator Steve Wilks, who joined the team in 2025, was fired after a 48-20 loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars on Dec. 15.

The New York Jets poached safety Keidron Smith off the Broncos ' practice squad on Monday, signing him to their active roster. Smith (6-2, 210 pounds) has been with Denver since December of the 2023 season, mostly on the practice squad.
