Kevin Knight and KUSHIDA won the IWGP Junior Tag Team Titles at NJPW King of Pro-Wrestling, defeating BULLET CLUB War Dogs (Clark Connors & Drilla Moloney). The finish saw KUSHIDA catch Drilla in a jacknife pin after Clark was sent off the top by Knight.

On New Japan Pro-Wrestling held their NJPW King of Pro-Wrestling event at Ryogoku Kokugikan in Tokyo, Japan. The event featured multiple title changes. Among others, KUSHIDA and Kevin Knight beat the Bullet Club War Dogs to win the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Championship.
