The New Orleans Saints were hoping for clarity on Derek Carr's injured throwing shoulder before the draft, but NFL Network reports no news is coming.

"He does have an issue with his shoulder," Loomis told reporters in a pre-draft news conference. "We're hoping to get some resolution, [some] clarity on that in the near future. And when we do, I'll report back to you. Otherwise, I don't have anything more to state about Derek."

According to Ian Rapoport, the Saints are not expected to have clarity about QB Derek Carr and his status for 2025 before the draft tonight. Rapoport said the parties involved had hoped to have that.
