On the morning of the Dallas Cowboys ’ first padded practice in Oxnard at training camp, the team has announced they have agreed to terms on a new contract with rising star tight end Jake Ferguson, who signs an extension worth $52 million in new money over four years.

Per Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, the Cowboys and tight end Jake Ferguson agreed to terms on a four-year, $52 million contract extension that includes $30 million guaranteed and a $12 million signing bonus. Rapoport noted that negotiations for Ferguson's new deal "occurred under the radar," and he's already signed the contract.
