BSE Sensex and Nifty50, the Indian equity benchmark Indices, crashed in trade on Monday. While BSE Sensex went below 75,400. Nifty50 was below 22,850.

The 30-share BSE Sensex declined 824.29 points, or 1.08 per cent, to 75,366.17. The broader Nifty 50 tanked 263.05 points, or 1.14 per cent, to close at 22,829.15.

Broader markets also mirrored the benchmarks as the Nifty Smallcap100 and Nifty Midcap100 indices ended down by 3.84 per cent and 2.75 per cent, respectively

The Indian stock market crashed on Monday, January 27, 2025, with Sensex falling below 75,400 levels and Nifty 50 slipping below the 22,900 mark. Dragged by broad-based selloffs, both benchmarks have nosedived by more than 1% each.

The BSE Sensex declined 573.81 points or 0.75 per cent to 75,616.65. Nifty stood at 22,919.15, down 173.05 points or 0.75 per cent. Zomato Ltd declined 2 per cent to Rs 211 and was the worst Sensex performer.

The S&P BSE Sensex tanked 378.29 points to 75,812.17, while the NSE Nifty50 was down by 92.40 points to 22,999.80 as of 9:45 AM.

Indian equity benchmarks, BSE Sensex and Nifty50, started Friday on a positive note but erased the gains later. At 10 am, the Sensex dropped by 180.68 points, or 0.24 per cent, to 76,339.70, while the Nifty fell by 69.
