Broadway’s ‘Suffs’ Announces January Closing; Producing Team Includes Hillary Clinton
Produced by Clinton, Malala Yousafzai, Jill Furman, and Rachel Sussman, Suffs is directed by Leigh Silverman, with choreography by Mayte Natalio. The musical tells the real-life stories of Alice Paul, Carrie Chapman Catt, Ida B. Wells and other suffragists who fought for the passage of the constitutional amendment giving women the right to vote.

Suffs, a Broadway musical about the women’s suffrage movement, is closing on Jan. 5, 2025, after about 10 months on Broadway. The musical, which stars Shaina Taub, who also wrote its book and score, had the backing of Hillary Clinton and Malala Yousafzai, who were both named as producers, and won Tony Awards for the best book and score.
