Virginia's House of Delegates races in the general election could either pave the way for state Democrats to move forward with redistricting or bring the effort to a screeching halt.

In District 22 of the Virginia House of Delegates, a Republican incumbent is vying to keep his seat. His Democrat challenger, though, also has years of experience serving the Commonwealth. Ian Lovejoy is the Republican. He was elected to the House of Delegates in 2023. Before that, he spent time on the city council in Manassas.

WISE, Ky. (WYMT) - Voters in Virginia began casting ballots at 6 a.m. Tuesday in the state’s gubernatorial election, one of three states holding elections in 2025 along with New Jersey and New York.
