Texas officials arrested a man Saturday evening in connection with a "credible threat" made against state lawmakers attending the Democratic-led "No Kings" protest at the state Capitol. There is no additional active threat,

Local media said a protest against President Donald Trump dubbed the "No Kings" event was set to begin at the Texas Capitol at 5 p.m. Saturday.

The threat came on the same day two state lawmakers in the Democratic-Farmer-Labor party were assassinated in Minnesota.

Protests in nearly 2,000 places are scheduled across the country, from city blocks to small towns, urban areas to rural areas, from courthouse steps to parks to sidewalks to service roads.
