The NFL playoffs are one week away and most of the field is set entering Week 18. Here's what to know about the postseason format and bracket.
One thing that's not up for grabs is the No. 1 seed in the NFC and that's because the Seahawks clinched it on Saturday night with a dominant 13-3 win over the 49ers. That means the Seahawks will get a bye in the opening round of the playoffs while the 49ers will be forced to hit the road for the wild card round.
The Steelers and the Ravens in the AFC and the Panthers and the Buccaneers in the NFC are vying for the last spots.
NFL commissioner Roger Goodell has been showing support for a possible change to the playoff format. When Goodell was asked about Detroit's proposal back in April, he seemed to be enthusiastic about it .
AFC North: The Pittsburgh Steelers (9-7) and Baltimore Ravens (8-8) will meet with a playoff berth on the line. The winner becomes the AFC’s No. 4 seed and claims the conference’s final postseason spot, while the loser watches the playoffs from the couch.
