Arizona vs. Kansas State was not a game scheduled by the Big 12 Conference this season. The pair of Wildcats had already had this game on their calendars for Sept. 12, 2025 before they were a part of the same league. That's because, until recently, Arizona played in the PAC-12.

The NCAA Administrative Committee has called a meeting for Wed., Sept. 17, On3’s Pete Nakos confirmed. The committee will review and likely formally adopt a single transfer portal window in January for football.

The NCAA announced Friday discipline for the Michigan Wolverines football program for a variety of infractions, most notably an “off-campus, in-person scouting scheme” spearheaded by a former staffer.

The NCAA is also going through a lawsuit led by Vanderbilt linebacker Langston Patterson and other college athletes. Patterson is challenging the NCAA’s rule on eligibility in the hopes of extending it five years without taking a redshirt.

Jayden Watkins, an assistant who actually played with Murphy at Florida, is set to take over. Watkins, a Cape Coral graduate, was picked in the fourth round of the NFL Draft by the Philadelphia Eagles and played on team that won the Super Bowl in 2018.
