Portions of the Great Lakes will be met with feet more of snow by the time Tuesday rolls around, as more rounds of relentless lake-effect snow fall across the region.

Heavy lake effect snow is creating hazardous travel across Northeast Ohio as an arctic cold front targets the region with dangerous wind chills and subzero temperatures next week.

The combination of heavy snow and gusty winds will make travel treacherous, particularly during the Wednesday morning and Thursday morning commutes. The National Weather Service warns that untreated wet roads will freeze rapidly as temperatures plunge below freezing after midnight, creating additional hazards even before the heaviest snow begins.
