Winter storm snow totals for central Kentucky
LEXINGTON, Ky. ( FOX 56) — A winter storm made its way across the Ohio Valley from Jan. 5-6, with snow and sleet totals ranging from 6-12 inches across northern Kentucky and southern Indiana, according to the National Weather Service (NWS). In addition, the NWS said Kentucky saw 0.25-0.75 inches of ice.
Winter storm tracker: Snow moves through central Ohio
Precipitation is expected to begin before 4 p.m. on Sunday for the southwestern part of the state, then will move to the north/northeast. This precipitation will reach the Interstate 70 corridor between 4 p.m. and 8 p.m. before moving further north. The heaviest precipitation will fall overnight through Monday morning.
