He needs all the support he can get. President Biden sat on a pillow for an extra boost as he delivered his 18-minute farewell address to the nation from the Oval Office Wednesday night. Photos taken from just outside the Oval Office show the 82-year-old commander in chief with the small cushion wedged between the presidential rump and the seat of the seemingly firm leather chair.

President Joe Biden offered up a few surprises in his farewell address. Instead of simply summing up his term in office, he warned Wednesday about the increasing influence of the ultrawealthy, criticized disinformation on social media and called for continuing the fight against climate change.
