Elijah Hawkins scored a season-high 22 points as Texas Tech pulled away late for a 72-67 win over BYU in a defensive struggle on Tuesday night in Provo, Utah.

Hawkins has shown a lot of growth shooting the ball from beyond the arc, something that helped Tech get out to an early lead and changed the way Tech was defended by Utah. Hawkins entered the night with just eight made threes on the year and knocked down four en route to the win.
