Steven Gilmore Jr. is the new Cardinals' signing. He's the brother of All-Pro and Super Bowl champ Stephon Gilmore. Steven Gilmore Jr. most recently played in the UFL. He played in the 2023 NFL preseason for the Detroit Lions.

The Arizona Cardinals not only lost one cornerback to a knee injury. They lost two. The team announced that it placed both cornerback Star Thomas V and cornerback Jaden Davis on injured reserve on Sunday. Both suffered knee injuries.

ESPN reported on Sunday that cornerback Starling Thomas V tore his left ACL during Friday’s practice, meaning he will be sidelined for the entire season. He was placed on the injured reserve list.

The Arizona Cardinals couldn't make it out of the first week of training camp without a season-ending injury. Cornerback Star Thomas V, who left Friday's practice after landing awkwardly while trying to defend a pass, suffered a tore ACL, per ESPN's Adam Schefter, and will miss the entire season.

The unit would include himself, two safeties and two other cornerbacks from any generation. Gilmore chose Deion Sanders and Ronde Barber as the other two corners on the roster. At safety, he went with Ed Reed and Rod Woodson to complete the Hall of Fame secondary.
