STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. -- Several streets will be closed on Sunday to accommodate the New York Road Runners (NYRR) Staten Island Half Marathon. The 13.1-mile event will run from the St. George Ferry Terminal, down Bay Street and along Father Capodanno Boulevard, before runners turn around and head back to St. George.

Thousands of runners flooded the streets of Staten Island on Sunday for the sold-out New York Road Runners Staten Island Half Marathon. The event, part of the Five-Borough Series, attracted over 9,000 participants and served as a vital preparation for the upcoming TCS New York City Marathon in November.

Nearly 10,000 runners zipped through Staten Island for Sunday’s half marathon, which prompted road closures across the borough.
