Krispy Kreme fans can soon sink their teeth into a new doughnut, but it won’t stick around. The Supermoon Super Doughnut debuts Thursday, Oct. 17, at participating Krispy Kreme shops nationwide — just in time for the Hunter’s Supermoon, according to the Charlotte, North Carolina-based company.

Krispy Kreme’s Supermoon Super Doughnut won’t replace the current Ghostbusters Collection, which celebrates the 40th anniversary of one of the 1980s' most beloved films. Rather, it will be a one-day-only offering, sold on Oct. 17, designed to celebrate the moon at its fullest.

The doughnut, the brand added, is inspired by the "bigger, brighter supermoon" and is made with an unglazed doughnut base filled with cookies & kreme filling, which is then dipped in yellow icing and swirls of chocolate cookie pieces. All you need to do is try to spot the man on the moon before you take a bite.
