Severe weather swept across Kentucky and the Louisville area Sunday night, causing damage and power outages. A tornado watch was in place until 1 a.m. Monday with strong winds passing through, leaving approximately 20,000 Kentuckians without power Sunday night.
MADISONVILLE, Ky. (WEVV) — Several hundred people are now without power after a tornado north of Madisonville on Wednesday night. Around 9:45 p.m., NWS Paducah said a tornado was on the ground north of Madisonville, about to cross I-69. Around 10 p.m., the City of Madisonville confirmed there were about 600 customers without power.
There are 12 active outage locations in Dyer, Obion, Gibson, and Lake counties in Tennessee and in Carlisle, Hickman and Fulton counties in Kentucky, Gibson Electric reported Wednesday night.
