Jurors in the Karen Read trial are deliberating for a third day after failing to reach a verdict after nine hours over the first two days inside Norfolk Superior Court in Dedham, Massachusetts.

Read is accused of backing her SUV into her Boston police officer boyfriend, John O’Keefe, and leaving him for dead.

Jurors in the Karen Read retrial will continue their deliberations Tuesday morning, the second full day the panel will be allowed to discuss the case. The jury of seven women and five men has deliberated for about nine hours over the course of two days in the retrial. Jurors can deliberate for as long as it takes to reach a unanimous verdict.
