So far, four persons have been detained in connection with the incident while the police are searching for a fifth suspect.

Mumbai Police on Tuesday said that in order to identify Baba Siddique, one of the accused was given his photo, banner photo and was told that he (Siddique) was the target. The house and office were also recced 25 days before Baba Siddique was shot multiple times in Mumbai.
