FARGO, ND ( KXNET) — Governor Doug Burgum announced the 50th recipient of the North Dakota Theodore Roosevelt Rough Rider Award. Steve D. Scheel, a board chairman emeritus of Scheels, will be receiving the state’s highest commendation for citizens.

Steve Scheel will be North Dakota’s 50th Theodore Roosevelt Rough Rider Award recipient, Gov. Doug Burgum announced Friday. Scheel became president and CEO of Scheels in 1989 and is chair emeritus for the Fargo-based retail outlet.
