Walt Disney World and other Orlando, Florida, theme parks reopened Friday after Hurricane Milton forced them to close for some of Wednesday and Thursday. Disney World said its theme parks and Disney Springs shopping center were open as usual Friday and operating on a normal schedule.

Walt Disney World has confirmed the hours for the reopening of their theme parks after closing due to Hurricane Milton. The parks closed in phases on Wednesday afternoon and remained closed through Thursday,

On Oct. 9, as Orlando, Fla. awaited Milton's arrival, Disney announced the closure of all of the parks, Disney Springs, transportation, and some resorts, noting that Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground and the Treehouse Villas at Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa were closed and expected to stay that way until Sunday, Oct. 13.
