It was Sean Monahan who scored the Blue Jackets’ second goal on Tuesday night, and as soon as the lamp was lit, Monahan — who was close with Gaudreau — pointed right to the banner that was put up at Nationwide Arena to honor Johnny. What a moment. It was so sad, but it was a beautiful tribute:

It’s been just under two months since the hockey world was rocked by the shocking and tragic death of Columbus Blue Jackets forward Johnny Gaudreau and his brother Matthew, both of whom were killed while cycling in New Jersey after being struck by a drunken driver.
